Meet Catherine
“Good therapy is the science + art of evidence based theory and human connection. It’s head + heart work.”
BABCP Fully Accredited CBT Therapist. Reiki Practitioner.

My philosophy
Hello, I’m Catherine Moore, founder and Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist at I&G Healing, a slow, holistic psychotherapy practice that evolved from Iterum & Grá, in Norfolk and online. Iterum means ‘again’. Grá means ‘love’. Inspired by my Irish heritage, together they reflect my belief that healing begins with compassion and the courage to begin again.
My roots
I grew up in rural Donegal, on the west coast of Ireland, between the Atlantic and Sliabh Liag, the highest sea cliffs in Europe. I was the wild child, happiest out in her riding boots or following a stream to see where it went. That landscape gave me a lasting fascination with our relationship to place, and an appreciation for the invisible — a thread I still follow through Celtic wisdom and the writing of John O’Donohue and Manchán Magan.
My background
I spent the majority of my career studying and working in London, before relocating with my Norfolk born artist husband for a slower, more nature connected pace of life. London gave me a love of art and a curiosity about contemporary culture, and the bigger questions about what it means to be alive. With a background in mental health nursing, I worked in the NHS and at Priory Hospital North London prior to training in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy at King’s College London and qualifying as a CBT therapist in 2009.
Following that, I worked at East London NHS Foundation Trust, rated Outstanding by the Care Quality Commission, within an award winning primary psychology team.
I trained and worked with expert leaders in the field, including Professor Paul Salkovskis, Dr David Veale and Dr Kerry Young, and continue to attend continuing professional development at Oxford University, keeping my practice close to the latest developments in CBT.
I co-founded the successful Moore & Moore Living, which came to a natural end with Jonny focusing more on his painting and me taking on consultation projects. I went on to help set up the award winning Steps to Wellness talking therapy service as part of an East London NHS Foundation Trust consultation team, working remotely. I had my daughter during this time, and we also lived at Blickling Hall with the National Trust.
I am also a national and international conference presenter, sharing clinical work and research with peers across the UK and beyond.
My approach
CBT is problem focused, structured and goal oriented. My therapy work is creative, collaborative and compassionate, using contemporary CBT. I work with evidence based models within the tradition — Compassion Focused Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Functional Analytic Psychotherapy. It’s important that we help you work towards meaningful goals and live the life that is important to you.
Beyond any clinical framework, I believe healing also happens in the relationship itself — in being met with warmth, curiosity and no judgement.
Alongside my therapy work, I offer Reiki and compassion healing as a separate strand of the practice. It grew out of that lifelong appreciation for the invisible, and from seeing how much people soften when they are given stillness and nothing to achieve. The two strands stay distinct: therapy is therapy, and energy work is energy work, each offered in its own right.
What’s next
I&G Healing is my own beginning again. It holds everything I have learned in clinics, lecture halls and hospital corridors, and gives it a slower, kinder home here in North Norfolk — a practice shaped as much by landscape as by the evidence base. Both inspire me: the wild Atlantic coast of my Donegal upbringing, and the Norfolk coast with its big open skies. Nothing would make me happier than to sit with people from this community, and further afield, as they begin again too.
BABCP register no. 080360. You can check my accreditation on the BABCP register.
Clinical supervision
I also provide clinical supervision for CBT therapists, trainees and other mental health professionals — individually or in small groups, online across the UK or in person in Norfolk. Supervision draws on my experience as a BABCP accredited therapist, former NHS lead therapist and senior lecturer, with space for case formulation, skills development, accreditation support and compassionate reflective practice.

Moore & Moore Living was a successful private practice I ran with my husband Jonny, which we chose to bring to a close when it took a natural change in direction — Jonny spending more time as an artist, and me working on NHS consultant contracts.
